Reach beyond typical business thinking.

EdgeDweller Dispels Myth – “Genius is Born, Not Created”

Of the three key components of transformational problem solving, high-level decision makers can transform teams and business most by developing genius-thinking patterns.  Since November 2009, EdgeDweller Innovation Intensive participants have proved that genius-thinking patterns can be taught, learned and put to work the very next week.

Intensive Participants Improve 140-450%* Through Use of Genius-Thinking Patterns

With year-round individual and team intensives now available, we hope that it will be even easier for you to discover your innate genius and improve your ability to create transformational growth by an average of 250%*.  We can teach you the thinking patterns you need to create teams, products and services that reach beyond the market place and result in longer term market share and a healthy future for your organization.

The EdgeDweller Team Intensive for Critical and Creative Thinkers

The EdgeDweller Team Intensive is designed to meet your individual or team-specific needs.  You can put the benefits of highly developed transformational thinking to work for you or your team after two days with EdgeDweller at the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts & Sciences.  Individuals will learn how to access their innate creativity through the use of genius-thinking patterns.  Teams will learn how to integrate each individual's talent to create higher reaching and longer lasting growth concepts.

Each individual will improve his/her creative capabilities for high-level problem solving. Participants in the past have averaged 250%* improvement in ability to create valid original or “new to world” strategies and ideas.

Intensive Take Away - New Problem Solving Skills and a Transformational Solution

Each team will apply their new thinking skills to transform one key business or organizational challenge.  Individual take away includes transformational thinking skills for daily problem solving that can be used right away.  Team take away includes a new solution to a challenging issue that addresses sustainable growth and long term competitive advantage.

Individual Highlights

  1. understand your dominant thinking pattern as it relates to genius thinking
  2. learn the seven genius thinking patterns and when to use each one
  3. know how to select and then evolve seemingly absurd ideas into valid ones
  4. learn when to use and when not to use logical thinking in high-level problem solving
  5. learn which filters you use to suppress your creativity and how to identify and move beyond them
  6. create a “new to world” or transformational business or institutional solution in a small group setting
  7. leave with a progress scorecard; written analysis of skill sets, filters and improvements desired; a customized action assignment; and a scheduled date for review with an EdgeDweller expert

Team Highlights

  1. understand the value of different types of individuals and thinking patterns relative to high growth problem solving
  2. learn the team's strengths and weaknesses for each of the seven genius thinking patterns
  3. know how to work as a team to select and then evolve seemingly absurd solutions into valid ones
  4. learn how to recognize when team moves into logical thinking prematurely in high level problem solving
  5. create a “new to world” or transformational business or organizational solution important to your team
  6. identify team patterns and growth-sacrificing tendencies related to creating, narrowing and developing new high growth solutions for your organization
  7. leave with a new solution, outline of next steps and milestone calendar for implementation, and recommendations from an EdgeDweller expert on any areas where additional work may be required

While genius thinking is used to generate the highest levels of creative thought, critical thinkers can be engaged by the logic behind the patterns in creative thinking.  From this logical perspective, critical thinkers can learn the techniques and benefits of moving into advanced creativity with their problem solving experiences.
